Our Mission

Fighting homelessness with dignity and grace. We oppose poverty and racism. We advocate for those who suffer from discrimination by empowering them to obtain a better quality of life.

Streets of Paradise, EIN# 82-4503824, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Our main operations take place at the Airport Mall, where we house our warehouse and community hub.

Love ~ Act ~ Repeat

Our Story

Streets of Paradise began, like so many powerful things do, with a simple act of showing up. Before we had a name or a truck or a warehouse, we were just a few people—many of us formerly unhoused or directly impacted—gathering each weekend through Food Not Bombs to share food, supplies, and solidarity with our neighbors living on the street.

In 2017, we decided to do something beautiful for the holidays. We prepared and served full Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in public parks—meals shared by housed and unhoused alike. These gatherings, full of laughter, music, and human connection, reminded us that the real nourishment comes not just from the food, but from the community it creates.

What we didn’t expect was how much we, the volunteers, needed it too. As we showed up for others, we found ourselves healing, growing, and forming a family rooted in service, mutual care, and joy. This was never just about charity—it was about dignity, about connection, and about refusing to leave anyone behind.

In February 2018, Streets of Paradise officially became a 501(c)(3), allowing us to expand the work we were already doing. The name came to us not as a brand, but as a belief: that paradise is not a distant dream, but something we can create here and now, through collective action and love.

By 2019, we saw a deepening need. People who were being re-housed were moving into empty spaces—no bed to sleep on, no table to eat at, no lamp to light the room. And so, our Street to Home initiative was born. We secured a climate-controlled warehouse and began collecting furniture and household essentials. Since then, we’ve transformed thousands of empty units into warm, welcoming homes—because we believe four walls don’t make a home. Dignity does. Comfort does. Beauty does.

Today, we work side-by-side with hundreds of case managers, organizations, and community partners. We’ve served tens of thousands of meals, provided countless showers, and shown up after every storm, disaster, and heartbreak that’s come our way. Through it all, we remain grassroots, community-led, and powered by the same spirit that started it all: love, action, and showing up again tomorrow.

"We hope you’ll join us. Because paradise isn’t a place. It’s a practice."
