Our Programs

Although Streets of Paradise’s outreach initiative has grown, the core mission remains treating every single person we meet with genuine respect, kindness, and compassion.

Our volunteers prepare and serve a nutritious home cooked dinner for our homeless and food insecure friends every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm outside the Salvation Army on 10th Street in Sarasota. Through our street outreach work we maintain and strengthen our rapport with our friends experiencing homelessness.

We recognize that hygiene and health are intimately connected and for that reason we offer free toiletries such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, tissues, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream and feminine hygiene products at all of our events.

Streets of Paradise is currently the only organization in the Continuum Of Care that is providing furniture and household essentials to individuals and families that are receiving housing through our member agencies. Our climate controlled warehouse is stocked with gently used furniture that we use to transform an empty house or apartment into a comfortable home, which restores dignity and self worth into the lives of our friends.
